Nintendo seemed untouchable in the handheld market, but even fans were a little confused when we first saw the DS. This was the start of Nintendo experimenting with weird ideas for its systems, in this case making a handheld that had two screens. Unlike the Wii U, people loved everything about the DS, most of all its games. There are hundreds of hidden gems to discover in this clamshell console, including some we think are the best games of all time. Let’s narrow the list down as much as we can and list only the best of the best.

We’ve also found the best 3DS games, GBA games, and Game Boy Color Games of all time.

The best sci-fi movies on Hulu right now https://funquest.co/the-best-sci-fi-movies-on-hulu-right-now/ https://funquest.co/the-best-sci-fi-movies-on-hulu-right-now/#respond Mon, 29 Jul 2024 08:41:46 +0000 https://funquest.co/?p=72420 [...]]]>

Hulu is having an unusual dry spell for new sci-fi movies. The only additions of note in July were Alita: Battle Angel, Aliens, and Predators. All three of those films belong to Disney’s 20th Century Studios and they’ve been on Hulu multiple times before. We’re not sure why Disney takes those films away for months at a time, but all three are now back on Hulu.

The bulk of Hulu’s sci-fi franchises come from the Alien, Predator, and Planet of the Apes movies that were made before Disney acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019. Without those films, Hulu’s sci-fi selection wouldn’t be very good. But as fans of the genre, we expect the best sci-fi movies on Hulu to offer us more than just the titles that should never have lent out in the first place.

If you’re looking for more films to watch, remember that Hulu is part of the Disney Bundle. That includes the basic Hulu subscription (with ads), Disney+, and ESPN+, all for just $14 a month. That’s a great deal, and you don’t even have to travel to the future for it.

If you’re curious about what’s available in science fiction on other streaming services, we also have guides for the best sci-fi movies on Netflix, as well as the best sci-fi movies on Amazon Prime Video.

The best reality shows on Netflix streaming right now (August 2024) https://funquest.co/the-best-reality-shows-on-netflix-streaming-right-now-august-2024/ https://funquest.co/the-best-reality-shows-on-netflix-streaming-right-now-august-2024/#respond Mon, 29 Jul 2024 08:39:41 +0000 https://funquest.co/?p=72417 [...]]]>

Who doesn’t love a good guilty pleasure now and then? Let’s be honest: reality shows often have little substance but high entertainment value. Unscripted in nature (at least purportedly so), reality shows feature cast members of all kinds, young and old, quirky and fun. The best reality shows transcend the usual drama to offer unique twists that keep you wanting more after every episode.

Yes, some of the best reality shows on Netflix have silly aspects to them, too. They make you want to run and call your friends or join a social media chat group to spill your thoughts about what just happened. But the most entertaining ones add extra flavor, and maybe even contain some thought-provoking elements.

This $300 gaming phone blew me away https://funquest.co/this-300-gaming-phone-blew-me-away/ https://funquest.co/this-300-gaming-phone-blew-me-away/#respond Mon, 29 Jul 2024 08:36:30 +0000 https://funquest.co/?p=72414 [...]]]>

Gaming phones first raided the market a few years ago, and everyone expected them to ravage the competition. But the category never really prospered because of high prices and bulky phones with designs that screamed for attention while attempting to masquerade as “normal” phones. Further, the more recent onslaught of handheld gaming PCs means you do not need to buy an almost $1,000 Android device for gaming when you can get something much better.

In comes this inexpensive phone from a sparsely known company, Infinix (which is surprisingly part of the world’s fourth-largest phone manufacturer). Infinix brings the $300 GT 20 Pro, which you can comfortably splurge on if you are looking for a spare phone to game on without the heavy guilt of overindulging in a device you’ll probably only use once in a while.

Follow me as I take you through the reasons why the Infinix GT 20 Pro is a great bargain for a gaming phone.

Exquisite design and lights for the win

It’s tough to argue that radical design elements are central to almost anything with the prefix “gaming.” The Infinix GT 20 Pro does not buck that trend. In fact, the company clothes it in outrageously jazzy colors — but in good taste — that scream gaming from a long distance.

On the back, there is an electrifying mix of dark gray, silver, and blue, with a host of different textures under a flattened transparent panel that combines in a very industrial harmony. The interplay of light with these textures results in them being lit up with different colors of the rainbow at different angles. Trust me, you can spend several minutes just curiously investigating the various niches of this design and not get bored.

Besides the blue variant that I got for review, Infinix also makes two more variants. A combination of black and orange represents intensity, while a silver edition with similar textures but muted colors makes the phone a bit soothing to look at, especially for those who aren’t fans of the game-y looks.

Amidst the cohort of straight lines that populate the back of the phone, there’s a partial circle disguised as yet another textured bit. Obscured under this textured more-than-a-semicircle lie strips of RGB lighting. This ring, officially called the “Mecha Loop,” lights up when the phone receives a notification or call, is used to play music, or is being charged. You can also enable the lights to automatically turn on to alert others when you are deeply immersed in a game or even keep it on forever, flaunting it at a concert or a party.

These lighting effects may not entice hardcore gamers since they don’t allow choosing specific colors and do not offer any zone lighting abilities. But they do have some redeeming quality in the form of customizable patterns and a set of color gradients you can pick from.

Most importantly, this is a $300 phone in question, and the closest price-wise competitor to achieve something remotely as distinctive and appealing is the Nothing Phone 2a. That all said, the Infinix’s looks aren’t what really make it compelling as a gaming phone, but instead it’s the combination of its display and hardware, both of which are a class above for its pricing.

A dazzling AMOLED display

AMOLED screens are slowly creeping over the segments of sub-premium and affordable phones. The Infinix GT 20 Pro, too, features a large and vibrant AMOLED display. It measures 6.78 inches and sports a Full HD+ resolution. But that’s not truly the exciting part.

Instead, what makes the AMOLED on the Infinix so impressive is its 144Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling through the interface feel extremely snappy. Besides smooth scrolling through the system as well as third-party apps, the screen can also be utilized to run a variety of games at high frame rates, making the experience much more engaging than some flagship Android devices incapable of doing so, even with physically better displays. Two games I truly cherish playing on this screen are Real Racing 3 and Squad Busters since the fluid movement across the display makes the gameplay truly fun and engaging.

This is apparently possible through a special chip from Pixelworks (a more advanced version of which can be found on the OnePlus 12) to improve picture quality and frame rate while running games and reduce power consumption. The chip can also enhance SDR content to HDR in apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, and TikTok.

In addition to its fluidity, the display has an exceptional screen-to-body ratio of over 94%, which translates to minuscule bezels that don’t hinder your view or distract you from the otherwise zestful design of the Infinix GT 20 Pro. Subtle curves along the edges of the display enhance the experience of swiping inward on the screen for navigation gestures or to pull out the gaming dashboard from the side.

While the design gears you up for an exciting time, and the display keeps up with the pace of full-throttle gaming, it’s what is inside that ensures your games run uninterrupted and without hiccups.

Cooler than it looks

Infinix chose the MediaTek Dimensity 8200U to power the GT 20 Pro’s performance. It’s an upper midrange chip, where the U stands for Ultimate and denotes special customizations for Infinix. The chip comprises older A78 and A55 cores packed with a newer 4nm process. This is paired with up to 12GB of RAM to let you leave games at different progress levels and switch to others.

Despite its naming, which suggests components aimed at the upper midrange, the chipset only classifies as mediocre. More importantly, it uses outdated cores; an updated version is already found on a few others for a similar price, including the POCO X6 Pro, which outperforms phones with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip.

But to my surprise, the internals hold up well while impressively gaming. While playing Genshin Impact at the highest graphics settings, the Infinix GT 20 Pro doesn’t fail to render the game at 60 frames per second (fps). This is an incredible feat for a phone at this price and this hardware.

I ran the game over the course of 30 minutes to see how it holds up while recording the performance with Gamebench, which is a professional benchmarking tool for games and gaming hardware. (Gamebench provided me with a free journalists’ license, but it had no input in this review.)

Within the first five minutes of playing Genshin Impact at the highest graphics setting, the frame rate began to fluctuate, and the phone started heating up. There was still significant variability in the frame rate, with frequent choppiness during battles. Despite breaking a sweat several times, the Infinix GT 20 Pro did not show signs of unease and endeavored to push back to the 60 fps mark as often as it could. Of course, that’s less desirable than it not wavering from the 60 fps mark, but the performance is still impressive for the hardware it packs and, more importantly, its price.

While the phone continued to perform well, it heated up to a significant degree, making it arduous to hold toward the end of those 30 minutes. The screen also got considerably hot, with both the front and the back reaching almost 45 degrees Celsius (about 113 degrees Fahrenheit). So, despite the fact that the phone continued to function well, the heat made it problematic to use. These temperatures were measured with a USB-C powered thermal camera at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius (about 77 degrees Fahrenheit).

Usually you would take that as a sign to lower the settings on a game or stick to less demanding ones. But Infinix has something else in mind. To prevent internal heat from hampering the phone’s performance, the phone comes with an optional accessory bundle, including a special case and a thermoelectric heater that attaches magnetically to the case.

The cooler has two parts: a flat metallic cooling pad that sticks to the phone and another end that ejects heat to the atmosphere using a fully functional fan. Harmonizing with the light on the phone’s back, the fan’s blade had RGB lighting. The colors change on their own, and you don’t have any control to change the speed or intensity of the lighting effects, it still feels like a good addition to fuel the gamer’s spirit. The fan is powered by a USB-C port, and while it can run off the phone’s port, I refrained from taking that route to avoid excessive battery drain, especially in the midst of a demanding game.

The base of the fan gets as cold as about 15 degrees Celsius, or roughly 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and pulls out heat from the phone. It gets cold enough to precipitate the moisture from the atmosphere, and with monsoons peaking and humidity reaching close to 90% in my city, I could see water drops settle on the back of the cooler. To determine how effective it is at work, I ran the same 30 minutes of Genshin Impact again, this time with the cooler.

With the cooler in place, heating was controlled to quite an extent — beating skepticism of cooling through the case. Unlike the previous run, where the outer body’s temperature spiked past 110 degrees, the phone stayed relatively cooler at about 108 degrees. That’s not a significant drop, but the cooler managed to pull the heat away from the back and allowed the screen to remain much cooler — at about 100 degrees.

In addition to its physical benefits, the cooler also lowered the battery consumption from roughly 25% earlier to less than 20% while maintaining the same level of performance. On the downside, the cooler made the phone feel a bit clunky, while the exhaust from the cooler circulated warm air around my fingers, although it didn’t feel as scorching as the back itself without the cooler.

Why bother with $1,000 gaming phones?

From introducing a super-fast 260W charging technology to being one of the first brands to bring native ChatGPT integration to phones, Infinix has proven time and again that standout features need not always come with a premium. Understandably, the GT 20 Pro does not offer any standout features, but you only find them on devices that cost several times more than the GT 20 Pro.

More importantly, Infinix’s efforts are validated by the quality and performance of the components. And despite its processor being fated for mediocrity, the optional — and more importantly inexpensive — accessories make the experience much more enjoyable.

As always with several other groundbreaking phones I have tried in the past, the Infinix GT 20 Pro does not come to the U.S. — at least not officially. Since Infinix has sellers in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, you may be able to import one or find an unofficial seller — like this one which lists the . But beware that it may have incompatibility with your carrier, limiting it only to Wi-Fi. Even then, if you want a spare phone for some casual gaming and swanking some pizzaz, this $385 might be spent well.

Yes, it’s nowhere near a flagship gaming phone, but that’s what I am trying to establish. Most people probably don’t need one, and a cheaper alternative that does almost 60% of the job for a less expensive price is still a more attractive option.

Like Deadpool & Wolverine? Then watch these 3 great movies right now https://funquest.co/like-deadpool-wolverine-then-watch-these-3-great-movies-right-now/ https://funquest.co/like-deadpool-wolverine-then-watch-these-3-great-movies-right-now/#respond Mon, 29 Jul 2024 08:35:03 +0000 https://funquest.co/?p=72411 [...]]]>

As the only Marvel movie in all of 2024, Deadpool & Wolverine was guaranteed to be a major release. The movie, which ties in Fox’s biggest superhero franchises now that they are both owned by Disney, also promises to be something of a shakeup for a Marvel universe that seems to be in desperate need of it.

If you saw the movie and are looking for something similar, we’ve got you covered — not with other Deadpool or Wolverine movies, because that would be a little too obvious, but with other movies that get at some of the same things that make Deadpool & Wolverine such a success.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)

Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 | New Trailer

The only superhero movie on this list, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has the exact same combination of mirth and heart that makes Deadpool & Wolverine so successful. The movie is a conclusion of sorts to the Guardians, and it really shifts its focus primarily to Rocket as we learn where he comes from and why his past is starting to catch up with him.

Few movies of this scale manage to be this funny, this violent, and this genuinely emotional. The Guardians are very good friends, and that friendship is what carries you through all of the absurdity that makes up any entry in this franchise, but especially this third installment.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is streaming on Disney+.

Detective Pikachu (2019)

POKÉMON Detective Pikachu – Official Trailer #1

If you just can’t get enough of Ryan Reynolds, Detective Pikachu is a great place to go next. While Reynolds doesn’t appear on screen (much) in this movie, his voice is all over it as a talking Pikachu in a world filled with Pokémon. The film follows a young man who is searching for his missing father, and discovers that a talking Pikachu is the perfect companion in his quest.

For a movie about Pokémon, you’ll be surprised at how deft and light on its feet Detective Pikachu manages to be. This movie is smart, funny, and has a surprisingly engaging mystery.

Detective Pikachu is streaming on Netflix.

The Fall Guy (2024)

The Fall Guy | Official Trailer

A more romantic movie with a similar sense of humor to Deadpool & Wolverine, The Fall Guy tells the story of a stunt man who retires following an accident, only to be called back into action when the leading man he often did stunts for goes missing. Along the way, he attempts to rekindle a romance he once had with an aspiring director who is trying to make her first major blockbuster.

The Fall Guy packs a lot into its running time, but it runs on the sheer charisma of Ryan Gosling, and on the chemistry he shares with Emily Blunt. The Fall Guy also features some genuinely amazing stunt work, which is good, because the movie is above all else a tribute to stunt people and the work they do.

The Fall Guy can be purchased on Amazon Prime Video.

The Sega Genesis was an incredible system when it was launched in 1989. Featuring hit franchises such as the best Sonic games and best Mortal Kombat games, the console was able to go toe-to-toe with the best SNES games — an impressive feat when you look at all the series only available on Nintendo’s system. But the Genesis was no slouch in the games department. Not only was it home to exclusives such as Streets of Rage 2 and Altered Beast, but it also made use of a unique subscription service called Sega Channel. This gave owners rotating access to some of the best titles the system had to offer, much like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass do today.

Now that Sega has bowed out of the hardware space, it remains one of the top developers and publishers in the business. A couple of its games are even in our 50 best video games of all time. Let’s use our blast processing to look at the best Sega Genesis games of all time.

HP’s latest Color LaserJet Pro printer works great, but costs too much https://funquest.co/hps-latest-color-laserjet-pro-printer-works-great-but-costs-too-much/ https://funquest.co/hps-latest-color-laserjet-pro-printer-works-great-but-costs-too-much/#respond Mon, 29 Jul 2024 08:33:10 +0000 https://funquest.co/?p=72405 [...]]]>

HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw

MSRP $529.00

“HP’s Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw is a fast, reliable color laser printer that’s currently priced too high.”

Pros

Fast print and scan speeds

Great color document quality

Media tray for envelopes and labels

Easy to set up and use

Reliable operation

Cons

More expensive than better HP models

Photo prints lack detail in shadows

Starter cartridges run low quickly

HP released a group of new color laser printers — the 3000 series in 2024 — and I went hands-on with the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw to test how well it works.

As one of the best printer brands, HP makes reliable and durable products, so I wanted to dig into the specifics of this particular model to find out if it’s a good value for small businesses and home offices.

Design

HP’s Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw is compact for a multifunction color laser printer. The design uses a mix of grays and off-whites to blend in at the office or at home.

Laser printers are always bulkier than inkjets, and an automatic document feeder (ADF) adds several inches in height. The 16.5-by-16.5-inch all-in-one stands 13.4 inches tall and includes scan, copy, fax, and print capabilities. The weight is manageable at 37.7 pounds but solid enough to prevent vibration.

An adjustable 4.5-inch color touchscreen makes navigating menus easy. When standing, it tilts back as far at 35 degrees above horizontal. If you want to use the touchscreen while seated, it raises to 67 degrees for comfortable viewing. A USB-A port allows for walk-up printing.

The Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw has a 250-sheet main paper tray and a media slot that’s convenient for envelopes and labels. The slot isn’t quite as nice as a tray, since paper or envelopes aren’t supported. However, it’s a good design overall.

Printing performance

The Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw feels snappy since the first page rolls out in under 11 seconds. Sustained speed is a bit slower than competing solutions, and HP rates it at 26 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome and color documents. Brother’s similarly priced HL-L3295CDW is quicker with a 31-ppm throughput, but it takes two seconds longer for the first page.

Print quality is excellent for documents. Black text it sharp even in fine print, and color documents look vibrant with good contrast. In fact, the contrast is a little too strong.

In photographs, I noticed the shadowy areas lose detail, and images look a bit darker than the original picture. Like most laser printers, HP’s Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw can’t print borderless images.

If you print photos often, an inkjet printer will handle the job better but not as quickly as a color laser printer.

Special features

HP gave the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw a very nice ADF to facilitate multi-document scanning, copying, and faxing. That’s important for an office.

It’s quite fast since it handles double-sided pages in a single pass. Copying is even faster than printing, with the first page hitting the output bin in under 10 seconds. The sustained rate is 26 copies per minute for simplex and 16 per minute for duplex.

While the ADF is limited to 300 dots per inch (dpi), the flatbed scanner supports up to 1,200 dpi, which is useful for scanning detailed photographs or capturing fine print for optical character recognition.

The USB-A port below the display let me scan to and print from a thumb drive. I had to push quite firmly to get the printer to recognize my USB drive, but it worked well otherwise.

I don’t have a landline to test the fax, but that technology is well-established, and facsimiles shouldn’t pose any problems for HP.

Software and compatibility

The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw was easy to set up. All four toner cartridges come preinstalled and dual-band Wi-Fi quickly found my network. In just a few minutes, the printer was ready to use.

Windows and Mac computers instantly recognize the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw and download the drivers if needed. I connected via Wi-Fi, but there are ports on the back for USB and Ethernet cables if you want to connect directly to the printer.

On mobile devices, the HP Smart app is intuitive and works well for most things. There wasn’t a way to print envelopes from the app, but I managed to get the job done using AirPrint.

HP also limits mobile scanning to 300 dpi, while I can select up to 1,200 dpi when I scan to a computer. I’m not a fan of arbitrary limitations. Epson allows 600 dpi scans to mobile from the EcoTank Pro ET-5850, an inkjet that’s nearly as fast as the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw.

Price

HP sells the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw for $529, a surprisingly high price for this midrange printer. The much faster and all-around better HP Color LaserJet Pro 4301fdw retailed for $699 in 2023, but you can often find it on sale for less than $500. HP just introduced the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw in 2024, so I expect it will drop in price over time.

Toner costs are always a consideration for color laser printers. HP includes starter cartridges that provide about 600 monochrome pages and 500 color pages.

That won’t last long. Fortunately, HP’s Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw can accept high-yield toner cartridges that last longer and have lower material costs.

A standard black cartridge prints an average of 1,300 pages and costs about 3 cents per page. A high-capacity cartridge lasts much longer, up to 3,200 pages, and lowers cost per page (cpp) to 5 cents.

The savings are more notable for color documents. Standard color cartridges deliver 1,200 pages at 14 cents cpp, while high-yield toner cartridges last for about 2,500 pages at 20 cents per page.

Of course, you pay more upfront for the larger cartridges, but the savings add up over months and years of printing.

Is this the printer for you?

It’s good to keep an eye on the Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw. It’s a smaller, lighter color laser printer than heavy-duty printers like the Canon imageClass MF753cdw. While it can’t match the performance of last year’s discounted models, it could fit nicely into the sweet spot for home offices when it starts getting discounted.

The speed is good, quality is nice, and it’s rated for up to 40,000 pages per month, so you have room to grow. The TerraJet toner HP’s Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw uses is more ecofriendly than most toners also.

Your wallet won’t love its price

If you have a 12.9-inch iPad Pro from 2018 or 2020, then you want to try the Zugu Alpha Case.

It has a rugged design that is still slim and won’t add too much bulk. It can withstand drops from up to five feet, has protection on the front and back, and it even has a recessed holder on the back that holds your Apple Pencil while it charges. This spot keeps it out of the way, but you can still access it if you need it, and it’s less prone to being knocked off the side of the device.

The best part about the Zugu case is that it has 10 different viewing angles thanks to the grooves on the back. You can position it pretty much however you want, whether it’s for viewing a movie or video calling friends and family.

The Zugu case is currently only available for older iPad Pro models. So if you have a new one, you might need to wait a bit for an updated version.

The Zugu case has incredibly tough and rugged protection from drops up to five feet. Cracks and other damage should not occur when you use a Zugu case. In fact, the company backs that claim up by promising free AppleCare+ iPad repairs if they actually do occur. It also has the recessed Apple Pencil holder on the back, along with 10 different grooves for the perfect viewing angle no matter what you are doing. There are also multiple colors available to suit everyone.

Zugu also donates 10% of all profits to charitable causes, like Children International, which is a nonprofit that helps today’s youth break out of the cycle of poverty. A great case and a great cause — what more could you ask for?

Gemini Advanced has been in Google’s AI spotlight since it was unveiled in February, providing a more premium AI experience that integrates directly into all your favorite Google apps.

Gemini Advanced is known to be far more “capable at highly complex tasks” than the free version of Gemini, with its abilities including, “coding, logical reasoning, following nuanced instructions, and creative collaboration, amongst many others.” It’s a lot like Microsoft’s Copilot Pro, except made for the Google ecosystem of apps.

Easy Gemini Advanced access in Google Apps

One of the primary perks of Gemini Advanced is its seamless integration into Google apps. If you’re using Google Docs, Gmail, Sheets, or any other app that benefits from AI, you will find the diamond-shaped Ask Gemini icon in the top-right corner next to the Accounts icon.

You can click that icon to activate the drop-down menu, which includes the prompt bar and a host of suggestions for tasks you can consider for optimizing your text or data. Similarly, in the actual Gemini Advanced interface, you can enable the Gemini Extensions feature in settings.

This will allow you to attach the @ mention and add different Google apps and services, such as Flights, Hotels, Maps, Workspace, YouTube, and Music to your prompt, and the chatbot will integrate them into the results of your query.

Upload files directly to Gemini Advanced

While the free version of Gemini allows you to upload images for your desktop for various AI processing and analysis tasks through the system, Gemini Advanced allows you to upload images, documents, data files, and files from Google Drive. File types include CSV, DOC, DOCX, DOT, DOTX, PDF, RFT, TSV, TXT, XLS, and XLXS.

This is thanks to the Gemini 1.5 Pro large language model, which has a 1 million token context window, the longest of any chatbot in the world. Gemini Advanced can process PDF files up to 1,500 pages long. Additionally, you can upload multiple files at once for Gemini Advanced to analyze in context. Soon, the AI system will be able to upload up to 30,000 lines of code or an hour-long video.

According to Google, Gemini Advanced is the only chatbot that lets you process this amount of information.

Gemini Advanced Gems

Gemini Advanced will soon introduce a feature called Gems, which allows you to set up a custom chatbot that works like an assistant for specific tasks, such as a creative writer, workout partner, cooking assistant, math tutor, or a study buddy. Based on the primary instructions you input, Gemini Advanced will enhance your directions and create the Gems custom chatbot.

When the feature is available in the coming months, you’ll be able to click Create a Gem within Gemini Advanced and fill out a name and instructions for the Gem. It will be able to interact with other Google apps, such as Gmail, Maps, YouTube, and Google Drive, which will allow you to create additional content through those extensions.

Gems is a similar feature to custom GPTs in ChatGPT or functional characters in Character.AI. However, Gems is specific to your Gemini Advanced account, while custom GPTs and Character.AI characters can be shared with other users in the public community.

Gemini Advanced dynamic itinerary planning

Many AI services have some form of trip planning feature; however, Gemini Advanced has introduced a dynamic itinerary planning experience that takes into account the interests and preferences of all travelers to devise a detailed schedule that can tap into already confirmed trip details from Maps, Gmail, and Calendar, in addition to important details across search to create an interactive table of potential travel options that you can edit as needed.

Input the prompt with parameters for the preferences and constraints of your trips by traveler and where Gemini can find your travel details, and it will devise a specific travel plan by day. You can update the itinerary by making edits to the day’s starting time, and Gemini Advanced will make updates to the entire trip to account for those changes.

The itinerary planning experience is showcased in Gemini’s Dynamic UI, which includes spatial information, such as restaurant and hotel images and ratings. The feature will be available in the summer approaching Labor Day.

Spreadsheet analysis

Most chatbots, including Gemini’s free option, have data analysis as a primary feature; however, Gemini Advanced includes a specific data analysis feature that works with spreadsheets and allows you collect data and visualize it in a single chart.

You can input your prompt detailing the insights you need, alongside uploading the spreadsheets of data you have. Gemini Advanced will analyze your prompt and data, and return to you a chart and summary, in addition to custom python code with more information on your analysis. Google ensures that the files you upload are not used to train its models.

The best SNES games of all time https://funquest.co/the-best-snes-games-of-all-time/ https://funquest.co/the-best-snes-games-of-all-time/#respond Mon, 29 Jul 2024 08:21:41 +0000 https://funquest.co/?p=72397 [...]]]>

When the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) launched, it was an instant success following some of the legendary Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Nintendo sold out the initial shipment of 300,000 systems within hours, making it one of the best-selling consoles of all time. While not quite as big of a quantum leap as the jump to the N64 would be, the SNES was a technical powerhouse for its time.

The system offered now-classic games and follow-ups to some of the best NES games with Mortal Kombat, Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, and, of course, some of the best Mario games. The system brings back fond memories for lots of players, but because it was so long ago, some of our favorites have been lost to time. To highlight some of these missing classics, we have compiled a list of some of the best games the SNES had to offer.

If you’re diving into Nintendo history, you should also check out our round-ups of the best Game Boy Color, best Nintendo 64 games, and best Game Boy Advance games. There are also a lot of great Nintendo titles included in Digital Trends’ ranking of the top 50 best video games of all time.
